if you are going to pay 200+ for a damage 28-70, might as well spend a little more and get a 28-75 tamron. pretty cheap fast lens and its sharp to boot.

What's odd is, when I first got my 24-70, it was definitely a little stiff to go from 24-28-35, but I worked it a bit and now it feels fine. I'm gonna run it through its paces over the next week or two to make sure it's a keeper but thus far I see no reason why it wouldn't be. It's sold as is, but if the fix isn't that bad (if even necessary) then it's a pretty good deal.
