On baby!

If you're trying to see what the max frequency out of your CPU, disable it. While some games don't benefit from HT, it won't necessarily harm it either (with the exception of BF3 when it was first released).

I overclocked with Hyper threading on and I wasn't comfortable going over 1.35 v core for my daily use PC. I ended up with 4.3 @ 1.328 v core and I was comfortable with that. It's honestly your preference and I've seen people use close to 1.4 v core for daily use. It's all about what you're comfortable running.

You bought a 2600K, use the hyperthreading. Otherwise you literally bought a 2500K, except with a 100 dollar markup. thumb.gif

Why would you spend the extra $100 and not use hyperthreading? smile.gif

1.35 is mild.

In all honesty, for that $100, all you literally get is HT and 100MHz speed bump which doesn't matter anyways since they can both be overclocked to pretty much the same frequency.
