Reffering to my previous post and frustration I decided a change of attitude towards solving the issue with the Q9550 working on a 680i Chip.

The answer is more simple then I could have imagined: Overvolt it (Vcore, VSS, NB, SB) like a madman, leave not one setting on auto but set them all manualy (speedstepping, fsb, ratio, CAS lantencies, multiplier, etc etc.).

In all my hapiness I just wanted to inform people who are as reckless as I am with buying a 45nm CPU on a 680i that there is a light @ the end of the tunnel. I will start with setting back settings one by one and lowering voltages to see with factor was critical to my succes and post it here.
