yea, was thinking the same, 4.7ghz might be better to try..
but lowering offset till it crashes again might be a option,
0.090-0.095V ?

It's probably the TIM. By only going 20 minutes I should say it could go longer but the temps are like 89C granted this is an Air Cooler. But this chip has done 5.0 using a H60 cooler (mine broke)

I've upgraded to the latest CPUZ and I can confirm that the CPU isn't downclocking this time but the voltage does go down when idle. Does this mean that it is a software bug?

I still can't believe that CPUZ 1.63.0 x64 is reporting 4.7GHz when I am at idle using High Performance because it reports a vcore of less than 1.000V. If I'm really running at 4.7GHz then 1.000V will instantaneously produce a BSOD 0x101 crash but that isn't happening to me. This means that it is indeed downclocking to 1.6GHz but CPUZ is reporting it wrong? What do you think?

im thinking the same as before ..lol

and i just helped someone today with the powerplan change too,
same problem we talked about
http://www.overclock.net/t/1360606/cpu-stays-on-load#post_19296920

seems logic to me that what you did by changing to another edition you have the same problem now, the older one you used doesnt have that bug smile.gif
lol, yea, 1.0V vcore and 4.7ghz prolly wouldnt even boot,
would be a golden chip if it would, well maybe theres some that can boot..lol wink.gif

Thanks! So it's definitely a software bug.

4.7 with no load maybe could boot tongue.gif

It is just with the x64 version of CPU-z, I'm still using the regular x32 bit and it scales properly for me.

interesting that 32 bit does work,
i had 1.62 version installed 64bit, i just downloaded the latest 1.63 64bit,
and it has the same problem, i just tried..
but i only saw 1 download, a 32/64bit, no separate one, where did you get yours Aparition?

Check the 32bit zip file download in the same site. You downloaded the setup.exe file which includes both 32 and 64 bit.

ah ..ok ..thanks, but i can live with that bug ..LOL
and i set the processor state to zero anyways
like i said, i only use cpu-z for vcore and memory reading, for speed i use realtemp,
never gave me a problem, and is accurate enough smile.gif

I guess so but I noticed that realtemp never shows 16x?
