this is bad but, ive been getting bashed on by people telling me to do stuff then they just skip out on HOW regardless if i tell them what i know or dont know

so im on F18 bios, HOW do i use offset in bios? i honestly dont see an option unless its hidden or on a nother name

my offset is -0.271 and i really want to solidify my OC

please help me figure out which option is hiding

Fill out your system specs so people know what you're talking about. F18 bios on which board? If you fill out your system specs it becomes a lot easier to help you.

sorry im not used to people thoroughly helping me, just picking and nagging at what i did wrong without being able to help me

z77x ud3h + i7 2600k SB, so i figured out how to set the voltage because this thread is great smile.gif
would i benefit from 1.325 vcore in bios + a higher offset or 1.340 in bios + a lower offset?
seems 1.325 gave me a random bsod but i now dont know if it was because i had everything set but offset
its on turbo for LLC

nevermind. i increased the gfx dvid or whatever the offset at the bottom is... my vcore offset is still greyed out :/

ok so i set vcore to normal then i set the offset to whatever my

VID - cpuz vcore was , so since my VID was higher than my vcore im using a -0.x offset

i got random bsods after 24hrs at 1.335 and 1.330 but with 1.340 i hadnt had an issue, i guess well see if i get the offset right

(its hard to go through 200 pages or use search feature 200 times after being frustrated)

people in other threads contradict all the time "NO USE TURBO" "NO USE EXTREME" but none of them want to take the time to show you why and where the same way others did for them

guess i have alot of trial and error, vcore is reading right but with turbo LLC offset is making it shoot up to 1.36x which is not good lol

@JrWhopper

Please try to avoid double/triple posting. Edit your first post and just add the details you want to share/ask about.

sure thing minimod
do you want to just point out things i cant change after doing them or are you willing to help me fix my issue? smile.gif
(please dont try to say i have a bad attitude, i mean you pointed out the obvious instead of pming me about it which would have saved a useless post or posting something relevant to the question)
wait, was i supposed to edit this into my last post?

so i bsod'd with the 009C code or 00C9, seems i needed more vtt? so i bumped up to 1.055 and seems like it let me boot up redface.gif now my vcore is down to 1.320 and jumping up to 1.344 underload smile.gif

not sure if i should keep LLC at turbo but at least im making progress!

ok so i dropped vtt to 1.05 and booted up going to run stress test and see what to do :S, im just curious how to get rid of the 1.320 to 1.344 gap under load

im stuck at turbo LLC with offset of -0.50 and 1.320 cpuz 1.344 cpuz under load

i cant get it to work with High LLC, i lower or raise offset and either way i get the vcore drop and rise or i cant boot into windows

i am stuck at this point so anyone willing to help who shares this pain would be a lifesaver tongue.gif ^^

Ok I have the same board as you and I'm doing a 4.5GHz OC with Turbo LLC and -0.10 offset. I don't change the regular clock multiplier but change all the turbo multipliers to 45. Besides that I don't believe I've changed any other settings. What are you trying to OC to?

i used to be stable at 1.335 bios 1.320 cpuz in my other PC which was a msi g45 board

with this board and its standard-low-medium-high-turbo-extreme options im having trouble stablizing

ive made it this far to get the offset to a decent amount but i want to get rid of the vdroop/vdrop drop or rise...

i set to -0.50 with turbo LLC and now im at 1.320 idle and 1.344 load, i dont know whats better or worse, a drop or rise

either way, i run no power settings and 4.5ghz constant so i really want to get my vcore at the right point... i tried changing the LLC and couldnt get near as where i am now, i did HIGH llc and with less and more offset and i experienced the drop and rise in vcore instead ofjust the rise

if anyone can help me get from the goal line to the touchdown id appreciate it. ive read alot , done alot, posted alot but the most ive gotten is people telling me to change settings, not telling me why or criticizing my options without being able to help me research or educate myself why its wrong

You don't really want the Vcore to go up under load, as that is much more stressful on the VRMs. So you should try to get it working with a lower setting for LLC - I would try with High. The higher settings for LLC (like Extreme, or Ultra High, or whatever) actually end up adding votlage under load instead of just coutnering the normal Vdroop, so if you change it to high you are going to have to raise your offset to compensate for the loss of voltage provided by LLC. I would set High for the LLC and set +0.005 (or whatever the lowest value is) for offset, and then stress test it and see what voltage you need. Then you can go back and adjust the offset to make it what you need for stability. You've got a pretty significant negative offset, at least in part due to the Turbo LLC settings, so I would start over and work it with a lower setting.
