Hey guys I was thinking about joining your F@H team. I have only been running it on my personal computer/gpu and ps3. I am looking into some used servers and was wondering what you guys thought about this.

That looks descent for the price, I'm not sure, but I would guess that should get you around 20-25k PPD. For a dedicated folding rig you could try a "cheap" 2600k rig, that would get you aroudn 37-42k SMP, or 80-90k PPD with a 12 core hack on native linux.

Hey all! Recently started folding on my sig rig. Everything is going weel except I can't get my EOCID. When I try to get it, I just get the following; "Failed to get EOCID for the current name/team. This can also occur if the EOC stats website is down."

Thoughts?

In HFM or are you using the V7 client?

Are you entering the name or the # ID? For example I fold under Silvrr but my EOC ID is 571682. Look at the end of your URL for your EOC stats page.

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/user_summary.php?s=&u=571682

Also it will take a few days before you appear on the EOC page, you need to get a few WUs in and then you will show. Hope that helps.

Ready to get into folding biggrin.gif

If I understood correctly, I need the client for AMD gpu's. What if I want to fold with the 6990 and my cpu. Do I still just download the one client for AMD?
Thanks!!

Hey guys, I need some help so I can start folding in Ubuntu. I want to have folding at home running in Ubuntu on my computer when I am not using it (I game in Windows).
I currently have Windows 7 Ult 64 bit installed and have 3 drives.
I freed up some space on a 1TB drive by shrinking the partition and leaving 200 gig for a Linux install.
I left the partition un-formatted and later tried formatting it when I ran into some issues while installing Ubuntu.
So when I went to install Ubuntu 12.04 off of the dvd I made from the image I got from Ubuntu.com it comes up the the screen where you are supposed to see that windows is already installed.
The screen does not show my drives or any partition information.
I have tried running check disk and repairing any issues that may have been wrong with Windows.
I am sorry if this is not posted in the correct area, I just wanted to see if any of you guys could help me out.

Yes you can use V7 for both the 6990 and your CPU. I hope you have a water block on that 6990, I can tell you from experience a fully loaded 6990 is not a pleasant thing to listen to.

Haha yeah its all under water. GPU's didnt see more then 52*c. CPU on the other hand was hitting mid 80's on the hottest core while the 3 others were around 78*c left it on all night. Came back to completing about 4-5 SME's. Pretty exciting. How much PPD were you getting on your 6990 do you remember? I was getting about 19k PPD but last night I just ran the cpu and hit 23k PPD.

Hey guys and gals. I have downloaded everything and am only getting 0%'s for some reason I haven't waited all that long for any results but i suspect to see something relatively soon since it's ppd not ppw.

Just curious is all.
