Movies, Music, Art and the mainstream media are synonymous with iPod, iPad and iPhone. When people talk about a phone on TV they say iPhone, when they talk about a music player they say iPod. What you will never hear them say is "Samsung" or "Andriod".

Seriously, stop trying to defend a futile argument, but I guess it's futile, of me, trying to explain to a person who is completely clueless about status, recognition and class.

It's like trying to convince someone to buy a Hyundai Genesis V8 over a BMW 750Li. Who cares if a Hyundai has higher sales numbers? Who cares if it's cheaper? Who cares if it has better features? Who cares if it has the best warranty? Why? Sorry, but it's something you'll never understand.

When do you guys think the Galaxy Note 2 or Quad Core equivalent will come out?

I'm upgrading to the Note over the Nexus, but man, there are some really Quad Core phones that were announced. I'm gonna be renewing my contract for 3 years, so gotta make it worthwhile.

fyi i do own a wacom and i use it regularly for photography, so i'm not some ignorant fool ranting about how ****ty styluses are. i just see multi-touch as a better tool for handheld devices than what the note is doing with a dual interface.

i like what the note is doing because its moving handhelds from content consumption like watching movies and listening to music to content creation. now, i got quoted several times here mostly about my issue with accuracy, which depends on a lot of things. who's to say that multi-touch can't be as sensitive and as good as a stylus (or better!).

i'll give two examples of how the iphone got rid of the stylus while retaining accuracy and usability. first it was the hold to scroll which got rid of the TINY scrollbar on the right side that needed a stylus to manipulate on earlier touch screen interfaces. second, it was the ability to type on a screen while retaining feedback with the popup letters as you type them which was a big hurdle for people who are used to typing with physical feedback (aka blackberry users).

none who quoted me answered the questions and issues i posted about styluses. i'll add one more: when using a stylus, how do you pinch zoom?

ps: i'm really waiting for those answers.

You forgot to add that an ipad is the most expensive child pacifier in the history of western civilization!

Maybe if they didnt have a 'trained' user and just some chick who was given the phone 5 mins earlier it would be half fair.

There's a part of me that screams "Oh yeah!", but I don't think it'll actually be practical for me to have such a large smartphone. I couldn't say without using it for a time. But congrats on it anyway, it looks pretty awesome.
