7 Starter + 2GB RAM vs Pro + 4GB RAM

so I have an acer aspire one 522 netbook which I thought was in need of a boost.
I have a 64GB SSD i'm planning to throw into it and bought a 4GB stick of RAM today.

My dilemma is does windows 7 professional use more resources than starter? so basically i'm asking which would be snappier/better - Starter limited to using 2GB vs Pro with 4GB.

I use my netbook mainly for openoffice and browsing, but may throw some less demanding indie games on it. Would the difference between the two be significant? call me crazy, but it would feel like a shame wasting my copy of starter I got with it...

I ran W7 Pro on my old Compaq Mini with only 2GB of memory and it ran like a champ. I was able to run ePSXe on there with no problems. I would imagine that 4GB would be a good bit better, although likely unnecessary for netbook.
