Been waiting to try this kit long ago. Crucial Ballistix Elite 1866 9-9-9 1.5v. Finally arrived today to my place. They are the best 2x4gb kit -by far- that I've tested for SB.

Still testing, but able to do it's rated speed 1866 9-9-9-27 1t @ 1.5v

and 2133 9-9-9-27 1t @ 1.61v stable HCI Memtest. Will leave them more time to around 500%, but in the hurry of sharing results, here goes the screen:

I love crucial ballistix's. There seems to be some hate on them but I've never had a problem with three sets. (1 ddr2 and 2 ddr 3).

Sucks that triple channel is dead. I'd have to buy two kits and either keep the spare or hope someone will buy it.

This is my first Crucial kit, and won't definetly be the last one. Will keep testing, and by the way tests are with a 2600k and a ASUS M4E with 2105 bios on it (not clear on screens). Cheers!

Yes of course, I'll run it as soon as I get home (at work now). High clocks on rams or cpu?

I can't wait to see your testing on P55/X58 when you find the time to play around!

Thank you man! thumb.gif
I'll be going on monday to play with a X58 (not a extreme motherboard, and I would preffer a P55), with both kits. I'll aim to get 2400 or 2500 on the mushkins, I hope I can.

Did this just for your asking, will not do it @ 1.65 or less but...
2133 8-8-8-26 @ 1.75v possible!

406

Also managed to put them @ 2000 8-8-8-24 @ 1.65v pretty easy. They are an amazing kit. Any voltage upgrade will be sensed by the kit. They behave really stable with voltage.

Regards.
