8 GB G.SKILL Ripjaws or 8 GB G.SKILL Sniper?

I'm inheriting all my stepfather's old parts..I'm posting about the RAM He has 8 GB of the Ripjaws. I have 8 GB of the Sniper. Both are DDR3. Should I stay with the Sniper or go with the Ripjaws? Please reply fast!!

What Rig do you have? If when you say Ripjaw you mean Ripjaw X, than if you have something Sandybridge P67/Z68/H67 (Second Gen. i3, i5, i7) Then as far as I know the Ripjaw X's are better. They are advertised as "Optimized for Sandybridge" but I don't actually know for sure how much truth there is behind that. I would also check the timings and clocks. If one has higher clock speeds and lower timings than I would go with that, obviously. Though I have read about it, and really the difference if you don't have Sandybridge is very miniscule. They both overclock well and they are both good. Really what might make them different is their look. So if you don't have Sandybridge, it's all about looks. IF you aren't talking about the Ripjaw X's, than I still believe that they have the same IC, or wiring internally. Some say that the Ripjaws cool better because of their ridge'y heatsink.
You might want to update with links to specific models of the two ram sets you have.
