I'm a little concerned over buying the new Dx10 cards right away (new software).
I would wait until the 2nd generation of these cards come along.
Look into the 7900GTO for around 250 and use that until the end of next year. You won't have any issues with compatability by then.

He's right about DX10. Just because it is released sometime early next year does not mean games will support it at that time. It's almost always better
to buy about 6 months behind the curve anyways.

definatly sticking with nvidia

maybe ill just wait till dx10 comes out to buy a 7900gt since the prices will drop

Whats wrong with ATI? Great things are bound to happen with the AMD/ATI company soon. If you just have to have nVidia, I'd go with the 7950GT or the 7900GTO over the 7900GT. The 7950GT and the 7900GTO have more ram which will help out at higher resolutions. Keep in mind too that the 7900GT is more money then the other two right now.

yea i used to have ati, and i didnt like the drivers, idk i never had good experiences with them
