Push Pull on Corsair H60

Thread Starter
So i plan to do a push pull setup on my h60 but trying to igure out fans, so far i'm looking at the Cooljag Everflow 120mm for it and a pwm splitter for the motherboard header. Now my only questions are

1. Is this good fans for this, seem to have hi static pressure, high rpms, and high cfms?
2. will 2 of these on a splitter pull to much power from my fan header on my Gigabyte 880gm-usb3 rev 3.1 mobo? been searching for the specs but can't find.

Thanks for everyones help.

According to the spesifications the fans seems to be quite nice, got a good cfm ratio on max speed. Might be a tad loud though perhaps, but in comparison to other good fans as the Typhoons and such, these seems to be able to do the work well. And depending on where you're stationed with your system, you might not even notice the sound anyhow.

As for the H60, I got the H100 and there's ready made plugs for additional fans on the CPU block, but might not be like that on the H60?
Anyhow, if power were to become an issue you could always just plug in directly to the PSU, and possibly attach a speed controller if you want to be able to adjust them? If the fan header on your mobo were to provide to little power, it would rather just make the fans go slower than creating any other issues.

Also, you could download the manual from here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3809#manual
Information about the CPU fan header is found on page 25 and possibly others as well.

Thanks for the info. The H60 isn't like the H100, you plug the fan motor into CPU header and the pump into the Sytstem header. I've been looking through the manual i got with the mono but I still can't find as far as how much power it can supply just the locations of them.

Yeah, I figured that out as well after doing some looking up on the H60 after I posted here. The mobo pin should be able to support two fans as from what I see, fans aren't exactly that power hungry. But yeah, the biggest "problem" as far as I could see is that if the fans were to get insuficient amouts of power, they'd just run slower.

You could test with a splitter, compare it with the fans connected either to different headers or directly to the PSU.

I didn't find anything spesific when running thru the manual, or have any personal experiences with this motherboard directly, but from other various experience I've never encountered any big problems running two fans on the CPU fan header, also alot of CPU fan coolers does come with two fans mounted on them and can be run perfectly fine of the one header, so from what I see you should be fine.
