This is the point I brought up to steelbom, the resident Apple apologist. He insists on comparing Tegra 3 to A5 under Gingerbread and then claiming victory. ICS boosts Tegra 3's performance by as much as 60%.

GB does have HW acceleration, but it was only partial and not all UI elements are rendered by the GPU. Honeycomb was the first to do full GPU acceleration - but it isn't efficient enough on dual-core setups. ICS however takes full advantage of multicore CPUs as shown by the Prime's performance prowess. smile.gif
