[Build Log] Return of the Sith - Page 12

So a few things have changed...Quite dramatically.

At this point, the acrylic tubing I had envisioned, just isn't possible.

I was going to "rough it up" make a lightsaber burn but, it's just not happening...I ordered some acrylic tubing, it literally cost me about 100$, in trying to cut it/make it usable...The entire length of tube split.

In calling the company and explaining my purpose, contrary to what I was originally told, they've come to the same conclusion I have, it's just not possible to accomplish my original vision.

With that in mind, I've custom ordered a new stand, different design...And I will be modifying the base to be an LED base...I have a few ideas.

This obviously kicks this project back a few weeks...Sadly.

I'm really bummed about the acrylic tubing debacle...But, crap happens and I have to adapt.

The robot also isn't feasible (Don't know if I mentioned this or not) because of the weight of the saber.

So, I've had to make some BIG changes that, I'll reflect in the next few weeks...

Still waiting on the watercool blocks...Thankfully, they'll be amazing enough that, they might just have been worth waiting.

Nothing has changed about my overall goal or the original vision...I will make every effort humanly possible to keep it as close as I can to my original concepts.

Okay so, ~ Updates.

I ordered some new parts from Caselabs, they get here sometime next week.

Ship the panels out today, they get to Danger Den by the end of this week.

Water cooling blocks still aren't here but, I'm confident that they'll be OTW soon.

This weekend, I'm going to be installing the first loop with random tubing...I'll post a rough for some opinions.

I have yet to recieve my loom, either so, the vision won't quite be complete but, you'll have a very good idea as to my direction.

I'll throw up some more pictures of the saber, as well.

There will be a parts update on the OP done when I throw the pics up Monday morning...

Check back Monday, there will be some serious candy.

Okay.

For the next 3 weeks, I'm home again and things are going to finally get done.

I've finished sleeving the fans and today, some progress will be made on mounting the rads and such.

I decided to go with an EX + RX combo and I really like how it came out, I think you all will, as well.

All of my panels are at DangerDen waiting on some final decisions and I should have those by Friday of next week.

I'd say by next Friday, I should be completing this project, finally.

I'll have some pictures up soon with my progress and we'll go from there.

Edited the Op a bit.

Windows come back from Danger Den next week.

Finishing up the wiring this week.

Will have a detailed write-up with pictures once everything, actually comes in.

Thanks to Corsair, I have a AX1200i on it's way...So, this will be powered by 2 AX1200 PSU's. ~ The reason being is that I'm already flirting with 1100w non-oc'd and that's not including the custom fan controller that's going to eat 150w +/- so...Why not.
