Waterblock for the X79 came in today...

My 3rd 680 arrives in a few minutes.

Motherboard and 2nd 1200i come tomorrow.

Core/Ram come next week.

Danger Den goodies, next week.

Progress this week: I hope to finish the rads ~ Just got my crimper from Lutro0 so, will finish my sleeving...

Going to add water blocks for the ram...Not that it will make a huge difference in OCing but, less heat is more.

Someone asked me what the total amount of fans is and there are 33 total fans...I went with the Cooler Master R4 1600 rpm fans...They will be controlled by the G-vans which is capable of 30w/channel...Meaning the 1600rpm fans will run at about 1400 (19db) which, is what I actually want to happen...I'm assured by both Cooler Master and G-Vans that, this is a great idea and won't have any issues...

...there's no way the R4s will run at 19dba at 1400rpm. R4 is one of the loudest fans I've encountered.

I just tested it and at approx 1300-1400rpm, the meter wasn't going above 19dba...For 7 fans too (Not talking about all 33 yet...I expect that to be louder)...Maybe it's broken, will get a 2nd opinion later this afternoon.

Oh nice, where'd you measure it at? I'd love to get such a low ambient noise, I'm living pretty far away from the city but lowest I've gotten is like 24dba biggrin.gif
I don't want to come out as a douche here, could be just that the type of the noise isn't good for me personally. smile.gif

Lightsaber is outstanding! I built a StarWars Galactic Empire folding rig and tried to make a light saber reservoir.... That didn't really work out. LOL - but this build makes my rig look like a child's Lego project! Good work! May the force be with you!

We basically operate out of a storage unit at the moment...I'm beating it down a bit by saying that but, it's easier to picture...Definitely a step up from a garage but, not good enough to be an office...Working on getting a real space but, until then, this will do. I'm good friends with the owner so, it actually works out great.

It's residential so, the only residual noise I actually have is the wind...We're also South facing so, generally we don't even hear the wind most of the time. ~ I'm also measuring with a mini digital...In reading some forums, there seems to be a +/- 5...So, let's call it 24 because I agree, that sounds a bit more reasonable.

The first time I did the test, I was getting 32db because it was a little windy and someone thought it was a good time to talk on the phone...rolleyes.gif...When I moved everything in back and made everyone shut up for a few minutes, I was getting between 19db at 3/4 power and 32 at full blast...So, I was a bit off at 1400rpm, we're talking about 1200...Ultimately, all of the rads are better for the 1000-1200 range so, I'm happy.

Now, 19 was the low...It was kind of sporadic...Even if we call it 24...Gotta be honest, I'm happy with that.

I just want to keep it as low as possible...That's my ultimate goal...at @1200rpm, I seem to be achieving that.

I've been talking to CorsairGeorge about the build and it seems we'll be the very first to even use 2 of the AX1200i's together...Never been tested by Corsair and apparently, the program itself, was never tested for 2.

This could either go amazing well or crash and burn...Hopefully, it goes really really well.

Yesterday, I received the 2nd 1200i and the EVGA X79 Classy + The waterblock.

I received an "emergency call" last night, in terms of a server having issues so, I will be MIA in terms of pictures for the next few days but, I did take some unboxing pics last night.

I'll brighten them a bit (They're very dark) and throw them up here.

I also got started on my sleeving of the cables...Which, I'll have some pictures of.

Next weekend will be a BIG update as the DD panels will be otw and so will my vinyl.

I also now own the project out-right so, as I said before, things will change a bit dramatically on the interior...I'll post some updates as things roll in.

Well, it seems my custom waterblocks that I ordered @ 4-5 months ago are somewhere in space...It seems that nobody really knows where they are...

Danger Den stuff should come next week, not this week as I had thought...Scrapped the stand considering it's just more money for, nothing...

Acrylic tube was ordered and god only knows when that's coming because they shipped it incorrectly.

Bad day...is bad.

Have everything else though and I completely finished sleeving the rads!

I'll try and throw some current progress pictures up today or tomorrow...Going to do some pictures with the raw cables, just the way they are and then loom everything...
