CS:GO ..who cares? - Page 5

Im sorry but I just do not see this game being successful.

On the console side, players are too spoiled by COD; you cannot expect players to go from choosing their own assortment of guns with whatever customizations they want and have unlimited respawns to a game where they have to buy their guns without any customizations and if they die they lose it, also if they die they have to wait for the round to end. The game is also graphically inferior to pretty much any fps out there.

On the PC side for those players that have not moved on to other games such as COD or BF they are pretty much content with CS 1.6 and Source. Look at CS1.6 players, probably some of the most dedicated players ever, they did not even move on to source because they did not like the most minor changes. This CS seems to be adding way more stuff such as molotovs. They would rather be king of the game they mastered than relearn some new game. Whatever players do come to this game it will probably be from the source crowd.

Only remotely interesting thing about this game is that PC and PS3 can face each other, it would be cool to face PS3 players as I have a fair bit of friends on PS3. However due to reason 1, they probably will not get it.

Changes weren't all that minor, as it drastically reduced the skill cap. The current top CS 1.6 players are still open to playing CS:GO as its being pushed by ESEA. If the money was still revolved around Source like it was back during CGS, Source would still very much be blooming still.

Top 1.6 players did move to Source actually as I mentioned during the CGS times. Listen to wisenhunts streams (Well known 1.6 player) he's constantly talking about Global Offensive.

I just got done playing the Beta since I got invited today & I really did not enjoy the experience at all. The graphics are nice but it does not feel like Counter-Strike anymore. It kinds of feels like a L4D shooter style with terrible hit detection. I played for awhile at various servers & everytime I turned around. Bam headshot, headshot, headshot.

I am not new to CS by any means and was looking forward alittle bit to CS GO but after tasting what this game will bring to the table. I will not be buying it.

Some people think Valve took the DotA name unfairly even though they hired the original creator and coiner of DotA many years ago and hired the current curator of DotA to create DotA 2.

I won't even bother getting this game unless a free serious league surfaces for it similar to CAL. I refuse to pay for ESEA and play on sub-par servers.
