but how abt crosshair V, i have seen it peforming far more stable than any other board. Gigabyte's vdroop and recent experience: not buying from them any soon in future.. so gigabyte no an option, or the last one. Hows MSI and even the BIOSTAR's 990fxe is doing good in comparision to crosshair V. if u know any other good board lemme know

All of the mobo makers seem to have had BIOS issues with FX CPUs. I do not view the Asus CHV as any better than Gigabyte mobos if you use the latest BIOS. MSI has had mixed results just like Asus and Gigabyte, more from the mobo design than BIOS however.

I have used corsair on 4 phenom2 builds. Corsair vengeance 1.65v 1600 in one, 1.5v 1600 in 2, and my personal 1100t at 4.2ghz ran dominator gt 1866mhz 1.65v

I like using corsair, tried ripjaws with bad luck on my 1100t. Not sure if it was defective or compatibility but returned em.

Oh and my chv overclocked my memory better than my 890fxa-gd70 ever could

I'll suggest Corsair ram as I have it running in 5 different amd boxes without a problem for over 6 years now... (I'm kinda one of those "stick with what I know works" guys wink.gif )

Currently running Vengeance 1600 cas 8 sticks @ 1856 8-9-9-24-1. Best memory speed / timings to performance I've been able to find with my OC. Had it running 2072mhz 9-10-9-29-1 but it was noticeably "slower" in boot times and opening things. 1600 7-8-8-24-1 is just as noticeably quick as ~1800 ...but not as fast in benches and fps.

ANYWAY, Corsair Vengeance cas 8 sticks are a good bet. From my personal experience.
