hey guys im having issues with posting.
im getting an AE error code on the led display
having troubles finding what that means
the red led is by the cpu and vrm mosfets
there is no documentation next to the led tho.

i looked a little closer and it turns out there are 5 little LED's.
they read:
NB_PH_LED
PH1_D1
PH2_D2
PH3_D3
PH4_D4

d3 and d4 are off. now idk if that means those power phases are dead or if they are just disabled because the cpu is not pulling a heavy load.
i still cant get any post.
the code on the led is still AE.
if anyone can help it would be a huge +reps.
i really hope i dont have a DOA board.

could be a ram issue. try using one stick first. you can try ram from another rig just to test.

hope it works out.

it ended up just bein a loose dvi cable lol posted and got os installed, optimized, drivers all installed.
im ready to try and unlock + oc.
so far ive tried a quick unlock but the board would not post after enabling bio-unlocking.
do you think perhaps an increase in voltage might help the cause?
i really hope this guy unlocks redface.gif
on another note.
does anyone have a good guide to overclocking the 960T?
im completely new to amd overclocking and would love a link =D
+reps of course.

oh and on another note im putting this baby all into a rosewill challenger mid tower once i get the samsung ram on monday.
will take pics then.

you can try this . . .

- go back to bios and set everything to default
- disable the following - C1E, Turbo, HT, and Cool & Quiet
- set your vcore to 1.38v or 1.4v (try 1.38 first or lower depends on your chip)
- raise your Multiplier to 20
- the fsb should be at 200
- save and exit.

hope it boots. monitor your temp using programs like hw monitor. WATCH the TEMPS.

this is the only guide that we should follow . . .

ozzy, a member of the club, will come up with information of oc our chip soon with various settings.

sorry for the late response i was just waiting for the samsung memory and a day off to take the time to overclock this bad boy.

unfortunately i was not able to unlock my 960t on the TA990FXE.
even with voltage increases to 1.475v
i searched everywhere to see if maybe it was the mobo but have found nothing.
i dont know if its the cpu or the motherboard.
a little disappointing but even if it is the cpu,
i only payed 100 for the cpu brand new so nothing to complain about.
overclocking was such a breeze.
shes sitting at
4000Mhz 20multi 200fsb 1.4125vcore
2800Mhz NB 1.35v cpu-nb
hypertrans 2000Mhz
ram @ 1600mhz 11-11-11-28-1t @ 1.332 (i will overclock the ram soon just want it to be stable while testing for oc)
so far she was stable overnight on these settings which were tweaked a bit for some time.
cant seem to get NB to 3000Mhz even on 1.4v cpu-nb
temps were wayyy below 60c, 38c was the max she saw.
gonna shoot for higher later.
