Cyborg R.A.T 7 Contagion or the Razer Naga Epic. - Page 3

I have tried the RAT 7 for just a few short hours now but one thing i can say without any shadow of a doubt is that the RAT 7 is an amazing product. It is still lacking a few buttons BUT when combined with all other features is the mouse i would suggest.....BY FAR.

Here are the pics of my razer mouse i returned after a days use. My thoughts posted earlier in this thread.

Pretty basic shot, gets the idea across. What you see here is pretty much it. Its black, rubbery coating and soft rubber buttons on the side. Nice braided cable with gold plated usb

im not good at dark lit shots but heres my effort to show off the lighting. Rear logo pulses blue light. Its to overly bright and can read the buttons well at a glance.

Overall a really nice mouse. Very responsive, feels good, heafty but not heavy.

RAT 7
The little ive used this mouse ive really liked.....REALLY LIKED. Its a different mouse all together. More expensive by about $30 most everywhere. Much better build. You look at it and see all the different parts you would think it flimsy but its not at all. It comes with a "tool kit' of sorts. Extra pieces of all the main parts. They are different looking in finnish but mimic the originals parts completely...just more plain looking. Braided cable also and about the same lengh as the razer mouse. Packaging is nice and other than the mouse and tool kit it only has some basic paper stuff, also no disks

Pretty much it here, ive left out the papers but you get the idea of contents. Nice braided cable, tool kit with replaceable parts. This mouse is in a different class than the razer mouse. Much better mouse IMO. Its going to make you giggle abit when you hold it, its that nice. I really liked it but im still over whelmed by all the parts and as to how to set it all up. Far more comforatable than the razer mouse also.

Playing BF3 with this baby your going to think your GOD. Now youll notice the little round red button on the side...i call it the god button if your a sniper. You set this button in the profile to slow the mouse down to whatever speed you want when pressed. Perfect for getting a bead on those headshots. Again when in a chopper shooting with the guns its a nice button to have when trying to line up your rain of fire. The second best feature of this mouse if the 'on the fly DPI" , five presets youve pre picked and you can cycle through while playing. Fastest for flying as its spins your chopper on a dime and the lesser DPI for regular game play, sniping, run and gun, tanks.

Overall the RAT 7 is the better mouse. Better quality, better feel, more features, bigger, made for fps all the way. Its mroe expensive but your getting alot more for your money. Both are nice but the RAT is a cut above.

There is an MMORPG version of the RAT7 that was recently released. Seeing as you're debating between a normal RAT7 and a Naga, the MMO RAT7 is the logical middle ground.

As far as I can tell, there is no downside to getting this vs a normal RAT7 other than price, but the naga epic is just as expensive, so its really a moot point. If I personally were to buy a new mouse today, I'd buy one of these. I simply do not have any reason to though when I have a wonderful customized Deathadder.

Thanks guys, posting the new rat has made me feel like crap about my new purchase. Now i have to return it for the newest toy.
