I have too many 'spare" rigs to go the dedicated server route.I am going to have to figure it all out in regards to the freeNAS OS on a thumb drive and then the partition sceme and RAID variety. I think I can do all of this.It will be pretty neat for my Win 7 network to be sharing files off the same server my Linux group is (Linux group is a Debian machine,Ubuntu machine and a Fedora machine.I do like to look over all the distros I can just to see if one strikes me as easier or simply more attractive for some reason.Since school is all Debian I sure am getting a heap of that one. I have no complaints about Debian,we are working hard with the LVM and grouping the dsks, partitions and RAID type (all virtuial)This exercise is on the final.
