Aluminum could be a bad material for a back-plate, since it's really close to a lot of sensitive components, will conduct electricity and is prone to shifting slightly and shorting out components on the back of the PCB.
I can laser cut in acrylic or delrin (clear, black, green, blue or red acrylic and black delrin)
I already have backplate designs for gf110 reference pcb's.

I'm assuming anyone with a laser cutter for metal can cut an acyrlic layer that goes underneath to be back lit smile.gif

Thanks - actually he PM'd me a bit back and we've been talking about it. I've since found a place that can cut steel, but not AL, I'd rather keep with the AL (which he can cut) so if the price is right I'll roll with him, so we'll see.

My question is how aluminum be bad when this one is not touching nothing else that grounds it? other than the card itself...

It would be as bad as a cpu cooler if you know what im saying..
