How come cant unlock to 6 cores?
Isnt it stable, ifso you upped the voltage a little as more cores need more power.
Did you try 5 cores?
I think thats things to look for before ocing:p

Thats ashame mate.
Well in the bios start upping youre multiplier with little steps.
Download a couple of programs to see youre temps of the proc and intel burn test to stress it.
Im on my phone so its a little hard to link.
I believe youre proc is also a phenom.
If so do a google for ocing guide with to many smileys.
Its stated alit on this site and hekped me alot when i got into ocing:)

thanks for the reply. this is my 1st try..

CPU clock ratio x 18.5 - 3700mhz
cpu Northbrigde Freq - x13 - 2600
core performance boost - disabled
cpu host clock control - AUTO - 200
pci - auto
ht link width - auto
ht link frequency auto
Dram EOCP - DDR1600
Set Memory clock - Manual
Memory clock - x6.66 -1333mhz
System voltage control - all Auto.

tested at prime for 3 hours . no bsod, no hang.
tested intelburn - pass 5 - 10 , no bsod, errors.

guess i have it stable for with the settings. what can i do to increase it?

try this for a quick 4GHz . . .

- go back to bios and set everything to default
- disable the following - C1E, Turbo, HT, and Cool & Quiet
- set your vcore to 1.38v or 1.4v (try 1.38 first)
- raise your Multiplier to 20
- the fsb should be at 200
- save and exit.

hope it boots. monitor your temp using programs like hw monitor. WATCH the TEMPS.

this is the only guide that we should follow . . .

yes. just follow the steps for 4GHz. see what the lowest temp you can achieve for that setting first. the guide will let you fine tune your oc later.

if it boots fine, test it using5 runs of IBT max setting and monitor your temps. do not let it go any higher than 60C.

finally, keeping everything the same. try unlocking it again. you may have to raise the vcore to 1.42 for hex.

gl!

Try to have it at 2600-2800
It will probneed a voltage bump.
Check that you do the cpu nb and not the mobo nb voltage
