Smaller version of the Razer ExactMat?

Thread Starter
Greetings all,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a smaller version of the Razer ExactMat that's small? I love this mouse pad but it's so huge! It has both the control and speed pad, which I only use the speed, never the control.

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!thumb.gif

u hardly get a normal sized exact mat these days. also never heared about a smaller version. Of course there is the Vespula that comes to my mind. Its looks similiar and is smaller. Don't even think about its speed side. It feels cheap. The precision side is awesome tho. Works with every mouse i tried it with. (G1,G3,G9,G9x,Abyssus,ZowieAM) Only use if highsens because the pad is to small for anything else. On a side note, i don't think u will find something better than exact mat speed side. I just loved how laser mice performed on it.

btw, Don't forget Vespula is a dual sided plastic pad.

Rocketfish had a similar mouse pad to the exactmat, it was smaller and had a control/speed side. You can only find them on ebay thought I think, JUst search for rocketfish mouse pad.

If smaller is a must, you could try checking if there's any shop with old stock of the fUnc1030.

Else, you might be interested in the Vespula, but it's approx the same size as the eXactMat.

If you're not afraid to cut the plastic, you could try with a Zowie Swift, which is in between the rough and soft sides of the eXactMat.

Thanks everyone one for the feedback. I just feel like I only use half my mousepad, and my desk is small enough as is, and then you add this beast tongue.gif

I actually turned the upper right corner into a coaster, added a few little guides so if I it stuff it doesn't tip over tongue.gif

It may not be dual sided but have you considered the Razer Scarab? It's moderate in size but it's so thin that you may not notice it's there.

There's also this from Microcenter and it's cheap:

I'll have to take a look at the Razer Scarab. It doesn't have to be double sided, I thought I'd use that option, but you get use to how one feels and then you stick with it. I just want something that's similar to the 'Speed' side of the ExactMat.

I forgot to mention the Scarab is a bit pricey at $40 and the surface is somewhat of a compromise between the control and speed side of the eXactMat. The Fractal design is supposedly superior for any type of mouse.

Razer Sphex is cheap and extremely thin but I'm not sure how it feels or what it's made of as I never handle one in person.

He asked for a smaller exact.mat like mousepad. Not a smaller random Razer pad. Not to mention the Scarab is even bigger than the Exact Mat. It isn't dual sided either. Though i have to agree, the Sphex surface is as closest as u can get to the speed side of the exact Mat. It's up to ur mouse if the sensor likes it. From my experience the performence isn't as good as the exact mat. Still worth a try cos its cheap.

I am aware of what he asked for. The Scarab is pretty unnoticeable compared to the eXactMat (which I have as well) which mean the poster could slide it under the keyboard or... cut it. It also has a surface that's kind of like a compromise between the both sides. I only thought about the Sphex after the Scarab suggestion, though there are some reviews out there that mention a poor job with the adhesive.
