Help with i7 920

Thread Starter
Two things, first of all after about 2 months of a stable OC, when I boot up I get a "Overclock Failed" message. Why is this happening?

Second thing: If I use an i7 920 overclocked, will it bottleneck a rig with this:

i7 920 around 3.8GHz
Radeon 6870 2GB
12GB DDR3 1600 RAM
1TB HDD
Asus P6T Motherboard

Thanks!

no bottleneck, i think it wouldnt even bottleneck at 3.4 or possibly even 3.0 with that card. Crossfire/XFire configs need a higher clock to compensate.

You running in Tri Channel mode? Also some voltages might need tweaking, over time some boards needs more juice to do what they use to do 6 months ago.
