I dont have any real knowledge to back this up with b/c I'm pretty new here and it seems wrong ofton. But one thing I am SURE of lol. Anytime I have EVER seen a PSU post it always ends like this.

Whatever you THINK is enough, just add 100 watts to it and then you have enough in reality haha hope that helps.

Now, my main question is: are yuo in California? If so, you might want to look at another vendor than Newegg. I believe www.monarchcomputer.com is not in california, so you won't pay tax when you buy from them. Leaving tax out of the equations, this would be my list from Newegg:

Total: $992.91 +$48.41 shipping = $1,041.32

Thanx a ton Chozart,

your posts are wonderful, great advice!

Yes I live in cali and never thought about buying from out of state! Monarchcomputer.com is less than userfriendly with less than good selection. No Gigabyte mobos, no gskill ram, and did not have the psu and case you suggested. I'll probably end up bying the cpu form them and save myself a whopping $7 =) . . . hey money is money right.

So what are the good online retailors not based in cali? I'll end up saving myself about $70 in tax if the prices are comparable to the egg!

Thanks!
