Muahahaha... MUAHAHAHAHAHA....

Seriously tho I have an OCZ Solid 3 and have had zeeeeeero issues with it. OCZ had some of the early SSDs that certainly had issues but it seems like QC has cleared up a lot of that. Not really any reliability complaints lately for that. People were saying MSI mobos were blowing up left and right, I'm pretty sure their reputation (at least on the Intel side) is pretty rock solid now.

Will post some pic's and info over the next few days.
IB-E doesn't look like till Q3 2013 now so the Extreme11 should be top dog for quite a while.

So it's possible to use a dedicated controller with 4x GPU's? Or is this only possible with GPU waterblocks?

Btw: I thought you'd be broke by now biggrin.gif But you do keep on spending like a crazy person..... thumb.gif

I know right! Since Vega's started this thread it has personally cost me thousands of dollars in upgrades. I now have to work a night job just to pay for the watercooling on my quadfire 7970 lightnings.

Sexy!

On another note, haven't had an ssd fail on me ever. I think I will be OK. I got all eight V4's up to firmware 1.5 using the Sniper 3. Of course run into a huge snag.

Keep getting d6 code on boot. "No console output devices found". Can only mean it is not recognizing the video card. I've tried all four 7970 Lightning's in all four 16x slots and no-go. Lucky me, I don't see an easy way to fix this.

That is certainly bizarre and possibly because of the motherboard being incapable of handling all that? Good thing for that Asrock Extreme 11..

VEGA. VEGA. VEGA.

http://www.overclock.net/t/1286519/nixeus-vue-27-s-ips-2560x1440-led-monitor-nx-vue27-usa-brand/0_30

DISPLAY PORT. SIMILAR TO THE CATLEAPS.
Possible PCB switch could mean it could "overclock" like the Korean versions. Maybe OC without PCB switch.
Also, it's using a higher grade panel.
AND!
AMERICA. BLANK YEAH.

Well, I swapped out my Team Group 2400mhz RAM and tested with some old ones I had lying around. The board now works! If it doesn't like that RAM why would it give a video card error? Strange.

So I was setting up my LSI 8x RAID 0 and everything went fine. But in the config utility there was nowhere to select the stripe size. Should I assume that LSI only uses a default stripe size?

Oh BTW the LSI controller on boot is pretty slow. Takes 20+ seconds just to load up before the BIOS even posts.

Not sure about the stripe, but both LSI controller I've used have made the boot annoyingly slow. That's why I don't bother with serious raid anymore thumb.gif

I am very disappointed in you Vega. Don't you know the proper troubleshooting protocol is to piss an moan about AMD GPUs & drivers being crap and then to lash out at anybody that gives constructive advice. Who do you think your are? What gives you the right to actually SOLVE the issue tongue.gif
