Lol me too! Mine added a 20% 6pm.com shoe surtax on all my hardware purchases lol.

So I had a crazy moment, where I became dillusional with the thought that 3x1 landscape served me better than 5x1 portrait so I broke my 5x1 setup down and gave 3x1 a go again...Man oohhh man I was soo wrong. 5x1 blows 3x1 away!! I took some comparison pics of 3x1 landscape versus 5x1 portrait at similar angles. Ya the 3x1 fits more of the "game world" in the frame but its horizonal resolution is so low its way to compressed and hard to see detail.

The only thing I could possible think off as an upgrade now is a MB waterblock... something regarding cooling performance.... and crazy CPU and GPU sellection for golden chips/cores ... Besides what you've said about your PSU.... that is indeed the climax of current hardware. Congratulations thumb.gif

On a side note: Now what?tongue.gif

No, even with the extended downtime to work on things GW2 still kept crashing. I think during my fail testing of 8x8GB (64GB) $1000 RAM my windows got borked. Unless Arenanet changed something that made crossfire unstable which is a good possibility. BTW zooming into the full screen map still breaks crossfire. You have to alt-TAB out and back in again to get it working. Suffice to say building this computer for GW2 and then it not working properly before launch do due one of a millions variables is quite annoying to say the least.

Ya, those 5x1 portrait images look only a million times better than 3x1 landscape. Never cared for the latter.

Ya, I would have gone with a MB water-block if someone were to make one. wink.gif As for the future, 89xx I guess? thinking.gif

I tested the Extreme 11 in 16x 2.0 mode on all slots (8x 3.0 like the Sniper 3 I had or the last three GPU slots on native X79) versus 16x 3.0 on all slots. I saw no performance difference. It's only when you drop down to 8x 2.0 will you be hurt with many GPU's / monitors. So the Extreme 11 even with Quad-16x via two PLX won't really do anything for you versus native X79. Will that change with the 89xx series? Only time will tell.

As a caveat, this only applies to AMD since they are native PCI-E 3.0 on X79 and not silly NVIDIA which has "issues". So the E11 will still be the best board for NVIDIA users.
