If you use gmail, you can always do the myemail+whateveryouwant@gmail.com and have it still go to myemail@gmail.com. Easy to create filters for incoming mail directed to the +whatever as well.

i shed tears for the awesome setup that only was for a short time.... It seems you have the money; so.... Why not both? lol tongue.gif
just add a fourth FW900 on a separate desk from the 4th 680 and disable SLI when you want to play competitively, second keyboard and mouse wouldn't be a problem either.

I'd give anything to see upcoming Aliens game on this baby.

I stumbled onto this thread researching my first build, that was like 8 hours ago, at first I thought OP's project was taking the piss - geothermal heat diffusion?! Fresnel lens display?!! But then I watched Youtube vids, and I have to say, from a 100% noob's pov this is mind blowing stuff.
This build is f**king LEGEND!
Thanks for all the work that went into this highly entertaining/educational thread.

Vega have you ever thought about trying out nVidia 3D Vision 2 glasses with this monster?

Kudos and subbed.

Hmm, now you got me wondering. Just going through my head what would be required to switch back and forth and how much of a pain that would be. But that would be the best of both worlds. Think upon this hard I will. biggrin.gif

Ya, that Aliens game looks kinda cool. Aliens has always been one of my favorite franchises. Except, developers always seem to manage to screw things up. I tried the NVIDIA 3d v2 glasses, didn't care for them too much. Too much flicker for me.

True enough, much of the recent Aliens incarnations have been disappointing but the developers for this are total Aliens fanboys, plus it's been in the pipeline for 4 years - It's got to measure up. That's why I decided to try and build my first rig, console gaming is graphically very limiting.

Hey would you give me an opinion on the parts I've selected for my first build?
My finances are limited so no sli for me.

PSU: Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2UK
MOBO: Gigabyte SKT-2011 X79-UD3 (Rev 1.0)
Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 650D
CPU: i5-2500K (3.30GHz, 6MB Cache, Socket 1155)
Monitor: Asus VG278H (I'm dreaming here - can't actually afford this)
GPU: ?? Something good but cheap (I'll upgrade someday)

I've already got a Vertex 2 60GB and a Kingston 128GB v but I've no idea about cooling a CPU or the RAM I'll need.
I've never oced anything in my life but I'd like to start.
Any advice from anybody much appreciated.
