There is no such thing. These Adapter's already over clock well beyond the 2x 165 MHz specification for DL-DVI.

Okay Vega question for you, when I upgrade to the GTX 680 will the classified HC provide any benefit for me, at first I will be only gaming on a single screen so the 4GB VRAM is useless but I may go to a triple 1440p setup at some point, but what i am asking is will the extra VRM's provide much benefit to the clock speeds (noticed you didn't get the 580 classified that's why I asked).

Actually, EVGA have stated the memory over clock limit may be reduced just a bit as larger amounts of memory overclock worse. 4GB of VRAM is useless single screen and is only useful for three or more screens 1400p+ or greater resolution. And if you go three 1440P you will need 2+ classified to even run them properly. wink.gif

Hey Vega - any word on the release of the asrock extreme 11 board? Is that still your plan? Has anyone had problems with the PLX lane splitter vs latency (or other) problems?

Isnt it better to have more PCIE lanes in CFX so the cards can talk to each other as well as thru the CFX bridge? That would make the extreme11 more reasonable, yes?

Extreme11 is still late July. It wouldn't make sense to get it if I get two X2 7970's for quad-fire seeing as I already have two 16x speed slots with the Sniper 3. I was going to go with the Extreme11 if an "Eyefinity 6" type 7970 came out so I could get four of those. But that hasn't been the case. I will still hold onto my 3960X until the dust settles just to make sure.

If for some reason my 5x 2B catleap is a bust with the X2's, I still may go with three monitors and 4x 680 Classified's, so there is another case I might get the Extreme11. Plus that board is just full of win so I might get it anyway. biggrin.gif

I think two X2's going through one PLX (Sniper 3) might run a few percentage points faster than two X2's running through two PLX's (Extreme11), well unless I run the X2's in 16x slots #1 and #2 (with water cooling and cutting the bracket of course as X2's are 3-slot) instead of the traditional #1 and #3 that have their own PLX tied to them.

In the end state it most likely doesn't matter though as whether I keep Sniper 3 or go Extreme11 both X2's will have 16x speed slots.

I am. I have to get this 5x1 2B Catleap setup out of my system. Something about 18.4 million pixels running at 100+ Hz/FPS with great viewing angles draws me in like a moth to a flame. thumb.gif
