[Solved] Help setting up network

I really don't know if this belongs here, since this forum is under "software, programming and coding"... strange. But anyways. Also... I don't really know a whole much about networks...

So the problem is this:
I upgraded to 24mbps adsl connection, so obviously I need a ADSL2+ modem. The only ADSL2+ modem I have is this (the ISP sent it to me). It's a all-in-one box (adsl modem + router). Now the thing with this is... it sucks. If I plug both of my PC's to it... it just... doesn't work. The connection just dies after a while. I also have the DI-524. So the only way I've gotten the connection to actually work is the following: I've connected the phone cord to the modem, and the DI-524 to one of it's "bridge" ports. Then connect both PCs to the DI, and then I've disabled the DI's DHCP. That's the only way I've got it to work. But now I just get some random IPs and the computers aren't in the same network. Anyone have any idea how I could make it so that I can use the modem as "bridge", and connect my PCs to the DI and have them in the same home network?

Sorry... it came out a bit confusing, just ask if you don't understand biggrin.gif

Edit. Amazing paint skillz
