Geforce 2 GTS.... what a nice card it was. 32MB Vram, I could play so many games on that bad boy maxed out on my 15" CRT. 1024x768 gaming, heck yeah.

EDIT: this wasn't the first, just my favorite as it was a huge step over my 3D Rage Pro with 8MB Vram.... thumb.gif

my first GPU was a PCI GeForce FX 5000 something, used until i got my first PCIe which was a GeForce 8600gts i love it still but check out the blown caps lol, 448

by far my favorite GPU is the Radeon 5670 1gb DDR5 it still ranks up there as the best value/performance ratio and allowed me to get into newer games. I used one in a friends build and it works still flawelessy. A runner up though would be my GTX 460 SLI it screams and is cheap

My very very first video card was a 12MB Vodoo2 back in or 1998? I got them 2 weeks after win98 came out then my second card was a 12MB Voodoo2 thats right 24MB SLI. I had a montigo bay sound card and because the Voodoo 2 where 3D only so you had to have a seperate 2d card after I added up all those cards and everything else I had in my computer I ran out of IRQs and had to ditch the high end sound card for a cheapo sound blaster.

This is what the back of a typical PC would have looked like if you had 2 Voodoo 2 cards and a VIA 2D card looks like this persons computer had cable/token lan but I was rocking the 10TX baby! I don't know if this is still how dual GPUs work but when that card came it if you had 2 one ran the vertical and one ran the horizontal.

So I was rocking 3 graphics cards in 1 pc 14YRS ago. I was also only 15 and had used my birthday + Christmas money from every single relative put together and then begged my mom to float me the $50 for the mail in rebate.
