I've gone to the dark side (MW3 vs BF3)

Thread Starter
I bought into all the anti-CoD hype and went "all in" with BF3... to mixed results. It was "ok" but I really just didnt find myself having that much actual FUN playing it.

I purchased MW3 last night and, while it is inferior in many ways to BF3, overall I had more fun in 2 hours with it than I did playing BF3 for the last couple months.

Your not the only one. BF3 missed its mark.

Every man to himself, I am partial to BF3, but hate it when people say "THIS ONES THE BEST". Everyone has there thing! thumb.gif

To each his own. There is no "best" when personal preference is involved. Play what you enjoy. Who cares what everyone else thinks.

Why didn't you just play an older cod game? They are all the same.

EDIT:

Also I would add that bf3, at least for me, became a lot more fun once I passed the 25-30 hours mark. Not completely sure why, but I think by that point I had enough unlocks and game/map knowledge to more thoroughly enjoy the game.

This.

Once I put more time into unlocking weapons and vehicle upgrades, the game became exponentially more fun.

yes and no... it felt very familiar but still has enough new stuff to make the experience feel unique. I am a fan of the maps, and I don't own any CoD's for PC except the first MW, and a LOT has changed since then.

oh, i guess i also own W@W but I have owned it for years and it is stale.

I would say MW3 is to MW2 what BF3 is to BC2
