Alright i'm having trouble, i'm trying to freakin OC it and can't I put the clock ratio to 4.0GHz the VID is at 1.340v. I also changed the turbo mode to on and off. Still when I start my comp and go into CPU-Z it shows me everything like it's stock

Also I had at one point just used Turbo mode and it would change the clock speed when it needed, during games and such. But I want it to stay stable 4.0, now reverted back to default settings and waiting for a reply

does it jump to 4.0 when you stress it? if so what does it matter if it clocks down while not using it? that saves energy.

i was of the same thinking when i first got my SB and tried OCing it. i was worried when it wasnt at the 4.5 i had clocked it to. but after i realized it was just saving energy and would go to 4.5 the minute i started putting stress on it, i was fine with that

I just feel like i'm doing it half assed. When others are keeping theirs stable and on 4.0GHz + 24/7 and I can't, then I must be doing something wrong and want to find out why. I just like knowing how to do it.

well I got my cpu fixed finally and just perfected my overclock, got everything stable and running smooth at 4GHz atm. So i'm enjoying this. Take care!
