James, I would start from scratch with Ubuntu 10.10 and this guide. Just follow it and you should be fine. All you need to do are steps 1-11 and BFS which is just below that. That is the guide I always use and its easy to follow. Once your up and running you can do the auto start and other tweeks.

Did you installed samba? You should see the arrows in the folder and see the computer from your windows one. If every thing is like that all you have to do is point HFM to the main fah folder on your Ubuntu rig.

only the fah has the arrows..

I have.an hfm installed on the ubuntu and it directed it.locally to the fah folder.. as the guide said.. along with all the stupid coding and nothing

Forget about fah on Ubuntu. Run FAH from your Windows machine. Its a lot easier.

I think he meant run HFM from a windows rig and just monitor over the network, folding in native linux is definitely preferred over windows or a linux VM. If you're having too much trouble with it today then take a break for a day or so and start again fresh when you're ready, rather than get frustrated because it of how long you've been working on it and that it still isn't working how you want. Sorry I can't offer advice on the problem at hand, I don't know hardly anything about linux but good luck.

Thanks.. and.ive been working on it since wednesday.

Built it wednesday without the h100. Got that thursday. Realized it wouldnt do push or pull inside the.case. threw something together saw crummy temps. Adjusted it then the h100 randomly died. Friday i modded it for push/pull. Got the new h100 sat installed and then stress tested. Installed some.custom linux which produced 23k ppd as my score reflects it. Spent all day trying to fix it.
And ended up installing.ubuntu... nothing has gone right. On top of that i just wanted to play tera onlines beta weekend that comes everyotjer weekend. Which most weekends im with the gf. So this was the one chance to play but since i didnt want to let down tje team so close to.first i wanted to finish the dedi.rig so i could play games on the other rig.. well with this.problem i didnt get much folding done or any games..

So you can only imagine.how.pissed i really am.
