HTC has taken the wraps off of the HTC One X, its new smartphone flagship, packing a Tegra 3 quadcore+1 processor, 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 Super-LCD display, and an 8-megapixel camera. Measuring in at a pocket-dominating 134.36 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm, with a polycarbonate chassis and microdrilled speaker holes, the One X runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4.0 on top, with 1GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

Woah, HTC is going BIG this 2012 with the One series. If you followed the live blogs reporting HTC's live event at MWC, the One X is the flagship superphone of the Taiwanese company. Aside from the beastly specs, it also features Beats Audio (which now works on a global scale across all apps), a much faster f2.0 aperture lens camera which "also loads faster – 0.7s – and takes shots on just 0.2s" along with a dedicated HTC Imaging Chip for simultaneous capture of video and photo stills.

Add to that, look at the sheer beauty of the unibody design! It comes with Gorilla Glass and a polycarbonate body, while the One S has a specially-treated aluminum design. This is one awesome series of phones - well done, HTC!

NOTE: The international version will have Tegra 3, and is still compatible with T-Mobile's HSPA+ network. AT&T has its own version, sporting - you guessed it - the Krait Snapdragon S4. smile.gif

YAWN. Boring phone again from HTC. Feels like Samsung and Apple (and Nokia!) are the only ones competing at the moment.

There is an AT&T version which uses Qualcomm's Krait S4 instead of Tegra 3 - which is good news, actually. biggrin.gif

Is it? From the looks of things, HTC will heavily invest in the One series and not dilute the brand image with more phones down the road. The specs are astounding, to say the least - Tegra 3 and Krait are nothing to laugh about. The fact that they're pushing ICS with a lighter Sense 4.0 skin on it makes it even better.

Actually, I think this phone is a very nice evolution of what HTC has been offering. Very sleek and minimalistic. It's not a completely new design, but they did manage to get it right this time.

Wait, so this is boring while Apple's release was energizing? I don't even comment about Apple, but to say that the 4s was interesting is just silly comparatively

Is this thing going to cost $200 more because of the stupid marketing Beat brand on it? You know all the Beat products are just jokes. They are pieces of junk compare to real professional products.

Doubt it. It's just a software featuring the brand, and it won't cost extra - HTC even open-sourced the Beats Audio API to developers last year.
