well, I actually found a sketchup of the phantom case that was fairly close to accurate and started laying down my ideas. The biggest project in my design will be the fact that I'll be cutting and pasting the rear panel and the motherboard tray, which will require alot of skill with a wire-feed welder. This will probably be done by a friend of the family, since I have never used THAT kind of welder (I've mainly used stick welders, stuff you'd use on steel).
I've also decided I want to paint EVERYTHING! I am not a big fan of white as a main color, but it's fine as trim colors. South-eastern North Carolina is not nice to white things, neither is my smoking habit. I also posted that I would like to do a very decorative design on my case instead of a out and out open window. My probelm is I am very artistic, but my mind is blank. I can be very creative, but I have to have some sort of subject to start with, or all I can imagine is a TV with nothing but static fuzz.
Right now, I am working with only the materials I either have, or can get locally cheap, so upgrading my watercooling setup will have to come later. I'd love to make this nice, extravagent liquid cooled setup, since the case in my oppinion will cool alot better than stock when I am done with it (I hope). I'll be looking out for some nice but cheap water blocks for my CPU, Northbridge, and GTX460 SE. Pretty sure when I get teh funds availible I will be buying a XSPC X20 200 Pump/res for my setup, but that may change. I also need to figure out what I'll be doing for lighting, which will depend highly on what my side window ends up like.
Sorry, I'm not going to post my ideas for my case yet. I want to get started on it and take actual build pics, just so I can have the satisfation of trying certain things first . As soon as I get things done I will shoot pics this way.
