I own an 8150 and I love it... its running stable @ 4.5Ghz at a decent tenmp with an H-80 cooler... there is my input bash it if your intel fan boys want thumb.gif

That's cool because most of the people posting here "bashing" Bulldozer are former AMD owners or current AMD owners, myself included.

I haven't owned an Intel CPU since the Pentium 4.

Keep generalizing people.

With both chips overclocked the 2500k goes from just battering to flat out castrating it...
I understand that people get defensive about AMD, Bulldozer and there processor of choice, heck some of my best overclocking memory's have been with AMD but seriously there is no reason what so ever why anyone with the money for a 2500k should not even considering buying an FX based processor and even less reason why someone with even the slightest bit of common would recommend buying an FX over an Intel processor.
That AMD and Bulldozers users is the sad truth, Bulldozer just cannot compete with Intel and you can come up with the all the excuses you want, You all know it deep down and you're just being stubborn in your loyalties.
I moved from an 4.8Ghz Phenom 2 x6 1075T to a 2500k and the difference was monumental!

Some people dont need that "momumental" performance boost. Some people a dual core FM1 socket is more power than they will use. A quad core BD would be an upgrade in that respect and still provide a great computing experiance. People sometimes fail to understand that its not always about the fastest of the fastest chips. Like for my home server I think a quad BD chip locked down some would just fine. Yes, there are faster offering's in the same price range but most people don't need wicked power output that the i5 brings to the table....Like I said elitist's trash it all day long. Truth be told it's a CPU and it dose it just fine. You can play game's with it, serf the web, all kinds of stuff just fine....

I love AMD as a brand and yes I have a ATI i mean AMD Graphics Cards. In defense to any AMD Users the thread name is the biggest flag and that's gonna make AMD Fanboys get heated quick. I love my Sandy Bridge Processor but i'm not a diehard intel fan. Alot of the post are informative regardless if you feel there bashing. He asked for an opinion and people gave it, do I personally like it? No actually I hate hearing about the downfall looming of the Bulldozer chip, I wanted one myself but I heard the lackluster news of performance so I will be a Intel guy for now, I do hope AMD comes out with a successful processor in the future and is able to still compete with intel. Competition is necessary for all of us consumers regardless if we love AMD or intel.

So most people don't want a faster, cooler more power efficient chip which offers better bang per buck?

You can only load the interwebs soo darn fast...so yea, most people dont need, or want an i5 powerd rig...most people dont even game on their pc if you want to get technical about it....most people buy a craptastic emachine with some soddy dual core and its perfect for them... Those of us that demand the utmost performance are a small nitch group in the big picture.

Plus Intel cpus have lower power consumption, less heat, easy overclocking, and better clock for clock performance.

If you are gaming it is POINTLESS to buy bulldozer, unless you just want less bang for you buck.
