Question about A8N32-SLI Deluxe

After returning my DFI Ultra-D because of some really odd problems (couldnt get the proc to run at 9*311) I bought the A8N32-SLI Deluxe. After spending 8 minutes in the bios my proc is back at 2.8 . That being said, I have afew questions. First of, the temp at the bios is 43C. This seems awfully high considering on my old board (the evga one) the temp at bios was ~39. I have thought about TIF application, and may take out the board tomorrow... not sure. Anyways, I think I remember someone saying the temp sensor runs high on this board, can anyone confirm this? Also, what is the advantage of running proc voltage at 1.275+.200 MV boost (from Over-Voltage CPU VCORE, versus just setting the proc voltage @ 1.475. Thanks in advance!

Asus boards are known to report bad temps that swing both high and low. That temperature is not that unreasonable considering your cpu and clock speed. A rule of thumb is you processor is at about 75% load while in the bios, so it will reflect closer to your full load temperatures. Did someone tell you that running the voltage at a 1.275 and then using the .20 volt boost was better? Those volt boosts are there to fine tune your voltage or take you cpu to the breaking point if that is what you choose. If you want to run it 1.475, then run at 1.475 and leave out the math.

I cant remember exactly what was said, but a while back I remember someone saying that the .200mv in combination with the regular vcore is more stable. Cant really remember though. As it is now im just upset with temps, this board runs extremely hot! My cpu temps at load have upped 8c to 48c, and my MB temps is at 47c. I took of that cool stacker thing on the back of the board which I think has something to do with the high temps, but having it on made it so I could not install my watercooling.

Enabling Vcore overvoltage takes advantage of the 8 phase power design. It stablizes voltages and is supposed to run cooler.Dont trust Asus temp readings as they often read high.
