40 hours?

The only 2 games I have ever played that has had more than 20 hours gameplay total is GTA IV and GTA SA, IV with 45 hours total and SA with 120 hours total.

Play games on the hardest difficulty, so it makes you stationary for a while... and you get the most out of it imo instead of walking in the park.

I think I spent ~30h on ME1 and ~25-something on ME2.
40 hours for ME3? Nice! thumb.gif I've played a bunch of JRPGs that offer ~60-70 hours on the first playthrough alone - don't forget NG+ -, and while they're filled with awesome content, my attention span sometimes fails to hold out. 40 hours might actually be the sweet spot.
Regarding the difficulty - whatever floats your boat. Some just want to enjoy the story and thus drop the difficulty down a notch. Others enjoy the gameplay aspects. I personally think the AI is often too poorly done to be worth the frustration of a higher difficulty setting. I often just end up lowering the difficulty(if possible), or exploiting the bugs/glitches/holes in the enemies' behaviour...
Especially if the enemies themselves exploit the glitches, the cheap bastards (Yes, I'm looking at you, Jagged Alliance BIA mad.gif)

I'm still trying to figure out why they changed it.
I mean, it was a part of the game's lore, for crying out loud. The ME1 codex entry states that a lump of ammo-material is loaded, and then, according to the trajectory, distance, wind, etc., a small part of the lump is shaved off and fired whenever the trigger is pulled. That brick can can provide thousands of bullets.

What am I missing here? Did BioWare ever bother explaining this change?
