Gtx 460 modding Antec H2O 620

Hey,

I had a question about the Corsair H60.

Its making allot of noise on 1700 rpm 100% fan speed, would it be possible to lower the rpm to around 1200 rpm on 70% fan speed and not breaking it?

Dont know if it will break the pump or anything,

I tried it for 5 min or so and the temps of my cpu didnt really change, i guess it takes some time to warm up the liquid.

Anyway i am thinking of replacing my stock fans of my gtx 460's for the Antec620.

I saw this on overclock.net for Gtx 480's:

http://www.overclock.net/t/1140299/gtx-480-sli-antec-620s-mod

Very nice biggrin.gif

Do you think its possible for the gtx 460's as well?

I just measured the screw holes 6cm (2.4 inch) width 5cm (2 inch) length.

Couldnt find anyone doing it with 460's so maybe someone knows if it will work?

Or i will just have to take a risk and try it myself tongue.gif haha.

Thanks,

Greetings Dylan.

I have my pump plugged in separately from my fan on my Antec 620.

The fan controller, if there even is one, doesn't seem to work on my cooler. The fan consequently sounded like a jet engine all the time, so I purchased a little plug to lower the voltage on it and connect it directly to my PSU. I think it lowered the RPM to like 70% of it's max speed. The fan has been running like that for about almost a year now, and it seems to work fine that way.

Hope that helps.

Here's a link of what I'm talking about: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=25975
