Ea cant even put out timely patches for current games, let alone dominate a whole market. They might dominate the buggy, rushed, and money mongering game market, in fact I think theyre dominating that now.

Oh, you mean the ' realistic ' iron sights FPS. I personally like to bet on Sam.

Also, a big +1 to EA or Activision not knowing innovation if it stabbed them in the face with a pair of scissors.

Not at the expense of Battlefield.
They aren't going to match Activision with a game like Battlefield, it's not casual enough to pull the numbers. They are going to need to castrate a franchise like MoH or BC further to even begin to match Activision. I just hope BF is spared from the knife this time.

Just all marketing and hype. They will say anything just to get the money and hype built for the game.
If EA wants to own the "FPS genre" then just do it, but you honestly don't need to announce anything. The fans and community will determine the game's accomplishments.

I think it is sad that they are even talking about owning the fps genre and they release a teamwork game like BF3 without in-game Voip and PC players have to launch the game through a browser every time they want to change settings or join a different game.
