I was just looking for some ideas on watercooling. Honestly I know this will sound dumb but I like the idea of Water Cooling better then air simply b/c it looks friggin AWESOME inside a case.

I'm sure with air alone I could hit 3.0 ghz once my E6600 gets here.

So with that being said, what would a good cheap kit be that would still allow me to stay just cool enough to reach 3.0 ghz? I mean if I could get more great but if not it doesnt matter.

Preferably it should be "easy" when it comes to watercooling as I've never done it before and I really dont want to screw everything in the PC up !!

It probably would be more fun but I know absolutely nothing on this subject at all haha. So I really think a kit would be much easier for me to actually install. If I had to put all the pieces I ordered together individualy I would just get mad and throw it out the window thus hitting someone in the head thus being out of arround 2oo bucks and also landing myself in jail.

So, nah haha I just want a pre made kit that is pretty easy to handle, under 200 bucks and is able to cool as well as say a Zalman 9500 or Tuniq Tower.

Well, we didn't go to school for this. Just read the forum. I understand you very well, i felt same way when i first see a water cooling system but it is not hard as it looks. Trust me...

It really is better and cheaper to just build your own..If you get a kit you will still have to install it, no different than buying your own parts and doing it..

duh haha forgot to paste the link there, forgive me haha its 2 in the morning and im still stuck at work for this late shift.

I guess I HAVE to make my own b/c absolutely no one seems to want to recomend a pre made kit lol. Thing is, I have no idea what parts I even need. Ah well

I just bought the dangerden 4200 kit. Its prolly more than you want to spend at 300 dollars but it works great. Also no matter what you buy, go to a local hardware store and buy the metal screw down hose clamps. My dangerden kit came with cheap plastic ones and i ended up with some leaks. So don't make my same mistake.

Read the water cooling guides man, faqs, google it.

The main parts for the w/c setup, are :

-Pump
-Radiator
-Cpu Block ( and a gpu block if you want to cool your vid. card as well)
-Tubes
-T-line or A reservoir (to fill your setup with liquid)
-Fans (for radiator)
-Distilled water and an addictive that prevents corrosion (algae)

You used the word "cheap". Take care. From what I have been seeing and reading, top of the line Aircoolers are better than low-grade water cooling.

There have been many good recomendations (i.e. Swiftech). I think that for this kind of hardware it is alright to purchase parts over time (as opposed to CPU's, MoBo's, VGA cards, etc.- which ought to purchsaed in one go due to Moore's law) if you don't have all the cash right now. You really don't want a failure that will be at the very least be a pain in the arse, if not down right catasrophic.

But truly, no go cheap on cooling.

Cool, I think you guys have convicned me to just stick with air haha. Cuz I really cant afford much for cooling. I blew way to much money allready on my PC I'll be building haha. Look out for an air cooling post by me in just a few
lol

Take a look at the FAQ for a cheap kit in my sig. This will cool much better than that gigabyte kit and will give you better temps than air.
