Help needed real bad!

Hey guys right here I go,
I recently ordered my new computer which included an amd 8 core fx processor. I built the computer up and it would not post, so I contacted ebuyer and sent the motherboard back as faulty. They told me it was not faulty, I am aware of the bios updates required but this had a sticker on it saying updated fx ready. So I asked for a full refund and bought a gigabyte 970a-d3. Once again built up the computer to find no post. I ordered an older am3 sempron to find out and make sure this was not me at fault and straight away the computer booted up. It was already running version f7 which is the latest for the board so now I assumed I have a faulty processor. I have sent the processor back to them for them to say its not faulty and they have returned it to me.

Now I'm stuck, can I really have a faulty mobo that works fine on an older CPU when the CPU didn't work on the first mobo I got?

Or is the CPU faulty and they just didn't bother testing it?

Either way guys any advice would be much appreciated, I built a fair few computers but this has me really stuck.

What are the specs. ? May be an issue with power .. Can not really be sure. But just throwing out ideas. Also check pins on the amd fx cpu.

I had the same problem with a 1090T cpu I tried it on 2 diffrent boards nothing but my 555 would work on both boards I contacted AMD and they paid for shipping both ways I got it back and it worked perfect

At this point, my only suggestion would be to either re-install the latest bios on the board using the sempron chip. If that doesnt work, load the sempron chip and look through the bios to see if there is anything that you need to enable. If all this fails, then im afraid you got a bad chip and would recommend calling AMD.

Thanks for the help guys will phone AMD tomorrow and see if they can do anything for me, in regards to the bios I have already flashed it 3 or 4 times and none made a difference, had a flick through all the bios settings and nothing jumped out at me

I'm just puzzled as how to Ebuyer UK said they have tested it and all fully working, have to see what AMD say now

thanks again
