You don't like something suggest a few options as to which way to go? Which Radiator? Which Mainboard is worthy of this CPU? Which case would you use that OP can get in her locale? I don't know what is available to her down Under, so best I can do it just help with suggestions for Cable management.
Seriously guys, I know and have come to expect you to be better OCN'ers. thumb.gif

to me it dosent seem like the OP cares that much about the state of her machine. why would i write out a lengthy informational post?

That's one of the problems I have with a lot of the comments they can't even see that there is no dust no more its being cleaned don't people read all of the thread because if you had you would have seen that I have posted pics of it all cleaned up my system is far from being better but that is what a build log is for to log the development and the progress of my build.

I like the inventiveness on the rads. I had a couple Giggles and a out right laugh reading this thread.. XD

AlderonnX Its nice to hear from you, no I have never played either of those games but I would like it if you came back some time and leave a comment to two and I was trying to get a giggles out of people I'm glad you like it, "A Giggle a day keeps the doctor away"

Ceadderman is very right about this most people don't know that you have to maintain a computer and to keep it clean so it don't over heat, that's what my old house mate use to do she used to clean her computer every summer because if she did not it over heated and would shut down. I had to help her the first time and second time but I think she can do it for her self now. Computers can get way more dusty than mine.

Thank you for your nice words, but you should get over you fear of water cooling its great when people come into your house and see your computer they go wow thats great because they have never seen it before or never seen it working so they love, people have seen my computer and gone wow look at that, just think what they would have said if my computer looked they do on overclock.net they would have being completely blown away. so yes please water cool your computer blushsmiley.gif

Why do I still keep using my rads even though they leak, its simple NO LEAK IS GOING TO BEAT ME, you see I will have the last laugh HAHAHAHA :-) basically I'm not ready to move on yet and get a new Radiator I would like to see them work out and it not like them don't work well i reckon they can easy deal with 1000 watts of heat, I don't know I want to be around they where doing that because of the heat they would be pushing out they could do it, so why replace that.

I know what you mean about my mother board it does suck, however it was all I could get at the time and if it dies it dies I'll just get a new one when I can, and don't worry I am planing on doing it right this time. right now I look at my crap mother board and think of it as a challenge how much can I push it before it dies, once upon a time this was how all overclocking was you overclocked and if you where lucky it did not die, mother boards have come a long way in the last 10 years so this is not a big deal to me, its just apart of the fun.

I remember years ago reading how if you overclocked your computer you where cutting short your computer life span, in short in stead of having 5 to 10 years of working life it would have up to 3 year only, these days computers are different they design them with head room to you the user don't kill it, I think this takes away from the challenge and is short changing to end user in the end because now to get the best out of your processor you have to overclock just to get what they built in the chip in the first place.

Like my processor the 1090t i have seen people clock it 1.4GHZ over stock, i mean are you kidding me when I started overclocking getting 50MHZ overclock was considered good, they could have clocked my chip at say 4GHZ in stead of 3.2GHZ, so I don't know if that is a good thing i guess it could have being a heat thing as to why they did not clocked it at that, but still I feel ripped off and its too easy.

Sorcha outstanding work so have you seen a majior diffrence in the air cooling over your water? and when you bump FSB you will see a rise in temps Ive been working out some details on a chill water water loop using a old window air condistioning unitand a glass mother board tray

Yes but there has to be a reason for it, in most cases water cooling work so much better than air cooling that I believe that there was something wrong with my watercooling set-up which is why I took it out, some of those things was my pump was under powered, My block has moderate flow restriction and I had Algae in the loop so add all that up and I know for a fact that the water was barley moving.

In the future I will water cool my system again but for now I will enjoy my time with the modded stock heat sink my temps are better than I expected as I have said i have not had temps this good even when i water cooled my system, my new water cooled system should work as intended, and if it don't i will fix it.

that sounds good I don't know if I would make a chiller system i like having a closed loop, but one thing i have herd about those things it they work as a air con in your room which is what a chiller is does it worked like a air con and cooled your processor better than a water cooling loop would.

Good luck I hope you have fun with that.

Ashley

PS next week i may try bumping it more and see how it goes last time i tryed it did not go so well but that my have to the fact that it was now summer.

Youre not ready to move on to a new one that dosent leak? this defeats all logic. also if you overclock that x6 on that board, the vrms are going to blow, and your x6 is going to get a ton of voltage sent through it, so youll have a dead board and a dead cpu. if you want to keep on running that hardware fine, but be looking at about 350 dollars to replace it all.

its going to be a closed loop I plan on suspending the radiator in a aqurium full of water and the condensor of a a/c uint in the same tank the a/c will chill the water in the aqurium that the radiator is in. the math says it will be more efective at cooling the radiator then air will ,,not sure it will be less money on the power bill,,lol

I can't say that you are not right because your right, I do have to be careful i have pushed the mother board this far and it only failed because the cpu over heated because of my crap water loop, the biggest problem i have now is not the processor over heating but the mother board and if that happen it toast, the processor may have thing built into the bios to save it from over heating but the board does not have that level protections so if it get to hot its toast.

So I do under stand what you are saying and your right I may leave it for now and just run it as it is, I don't care about the board but the processor is a different matter I can't replace it with something like I have now if I was to kill it the best I could get as a replacement would be a quad core which is good but a 6 core is better, more cores the better if you ask me.

That sounds good and if your air con is in a fish tank that is a large body of water so its going to cool it but maybe not to much I don't know i don't know much about this i have read a little over the years but i think will keep to water cooling its safer.

but yeah if you want to try and do your home work it should work but if it a air con and not a fridge the air con can frieze the pipes but i don't know if it will frieze the water which is what a fridge will do?? so can you explain it better or better yet set it up so we can see it, it sound like an interesting project.

Have you done any tests yet to see how cold it will get the water, my thinking is that should be the first step.

but please tell i want to hear what you have done..........wheee.gif

I have to say...the thought of a corsair h70 or h60 for my cpu is tempting....and i have the case room for it....but what it boils down to is i have like $40 tied up in my v6gt cpu cooler and it works very well for what i need now.
