Couldn't say to be honest. I couldn't get my 955 stable at 4Ghz with my H50. It got 4Ghz but I couldn't keep it going for longer than an hour under load. The only real way to know for sure is to go ahead and get one and put it through its paces. If it doesn't give you better performance you can always make it the GPU cooler you were considering. smile.gif

I have being thinking of replacing my cpu water block its to restrictive so I've being looking at the EK-Supreme HF Plexi, I don't know about the jet plate things about it does sound interesting, the new Swiftech Apogee HD I not read a review about it yet but it has 2 inlets and 2 outlets but could be very interesting, and the XSPC RayStorm but LED's need to be pink but I think I have not read a review yet but I think I will.

One thing I was thinking while writing this maybe mod the block, all I need to do is drill a hole in the plexi just to increase the flow at least until I can replace it might work.

7 years ago you could not buy mounting hard ware for rad so I had to make my own.

I'll have a look, I'm in no rush, cases I've being looking at are BitFenix Shinobi and Antec Three Hundred Two

It needs to have at least 3 5.25 and at least 6 3.5 HDD bays any less that 6 and i will not look at it. all of those bays will be used.

I was so upset yesterday I was almost in tears, but anyway I'm ok, your right i could have cleaned my computer and taken a pic of it and no one would have being the wiser, as dust goes my computer is nothing, and how is my computer computer weird looking? and yes it was a lot of work but not as much as i will be putting into the new case.

i was saying your water cooling solution was a little convoluted, however you made it yourself and that is awesome.

Those "few pics" tell me a lot... Have you seen your cables and dust? Don't give us all the 'feeling sorry for yourself' act. I do not mean to offend you or anyone else by my opinion, i just think thats the truth.

Also, to everyone moaning about there being a time when there wasn't companies out there that made tubing, fittings or whatever for watercooling computers, you may be right... but does it look like those days are now? no... stop digging up the past to fight for your point.

Sorcha, I applaud you., you did a good job. All i was criticizing you about was your cables and dust. IMO I hope you upgrade soon, to a new case is proper watercooling products.

So what does this pic tell you? I hope it tells you that I'm trying and there will be change in the future, as you can see its the same computer but there is no dust and i have fan filters so there is going to be little or no dust, I can't do much about the wires because I need them and a computer with no wires don't work and what why I need a new case I have looked and without a lot of Modding my old case can not route the wires so they are out of the way.

So I will be buying a new case in the future I'm ok with that out come but I'm not sure when it may take a month or 2 for me to be sure i have the money so I can get it.

Let me ask you a question why would I start a build log of me building and upgrading my computer if I was not going to do anything to my computer to improve it.

If you ask me that don't make sense.

I find it sad that you don't respect the pioneers of the water cooling community without there work you would not have off the shelf parts and what's wrong a bit of DIY that is what makes our community so great, I don't understand you at all.

Did you Build your own computer?

I'm sure it would be a pain in the derriere Sorcha luv, but maybe you can try to route some of your cables? Obviously we don't want you to indiscriminately rip them out. That wouldn't do at all. But maybe some of the longer cables could be grouped together(i.e. 5.25 cables with 5.25 cables etc.) and zip tied? I'll leave an example pic of what the back of my system looks like and maybe you can use it for some inspiration?

I'm reasonably sure given the age of the case that there is little to no room at all behind the motherboard tray(if there even is one) so you probably wouldn't be able to route them there but this is what I got goin on with mine...

2011-02-2607-15-10381.jpg

The 3 groups of cables going up the front end of the tray is 24 pin connection spread out to 8-8-7 cables.

The one next to them is the PWR/Reset/USB/Sound cables. Flats are SATA, Red 5 wire in the front is SATA power. Lone wire with rubber ring on it is my webbie. It doesn't belong other than that's how I got my pics. thumb.gif

The 8 pin is up behind the CPU cutout.

Everything else is pretty self explanatory. But if you need assistance I'm hear to help just gimme a shout an I will try to be clear in providing pointers. smile.gif

In other news today, I just received my Radiator. wheee.gif

There's always a way, you just need to retrieve you're head from your buttox.

But if like you said, you're getting a new case soon i wouldn't bother sorting the cables out.

good luck on getting every thing fixed and in order girl! (lol) and as for your water cooling HELLYEA! nice work. glad to see some people sticking to the roots and getting it done on a budget. ive been thinking of using a performance oil cooler from my car that i have laying around( unused mind you. in a custom case that doesnt have room for your normal rad because of its skinny design. this definitely made me want to try it more. kudos

--rowey your new system looks nice. but so does mine..and mines its BUILT not bought. 2cents.gifgunner.gif
