Thanks! I actually got a few bitspower shiny silver fittings and they look pretty good since I have a smoke colored side panel. I think the silver looks better since I have a dark colored side panel but if I had a clear acrylic then I would definitely go with the matte black!

Needs two 90 degree white compressions instead of that kinked loop on the back. Otherwise, sexy build! thumb.gif

Haha that's actually a fill port tube sticking out the back. tongue.gif I curled or back into the case like that for pictures but it doesn't change any flow in the main particular the loop. Apparently a lot of people noticed that tube tho. tongue.gif

Brilliant mod - very beautiful!

I've been considering painting my black case in a glossy red for a while now and would love to collect more information on possible spray paints. How durable is the finish on your case? I'm afraid of the paint looking nice until it starts getting easily dented and scratched off.

That sounds like a good mix of colors! I would look at mybadomen's guide for hvlp spray guns. He has an excellent guide for new people like you and I and his guide is pretty thorough. The type of paint I used and mybadomen uses is very durable and allows you to sand out any chips in the topcoat and just respray the finish coat. I would look at the guide and ask me any questions ya have!

Thank you - I will have a look! I worry about any plastic parts that will need to be sprayed - will need to do some research if I should use different paint on them (such as Krylon Fusion) or a primer first. Also, for case parts that never get very hot, like the front panel, those high heat sprays aren't really necessary? Or do those sprays conduct temperature better for more efficient case cooling?

First of all, WOW what an awsome transformation of a 800D!

Now since I got an 800D myself i wondered how u did remove those metal pieces of the 5.25 quick mount system, i already removed the plastics but couldn't figure out how to do the rest.

A lot better looking now
700
Well that's all for now but I'm starting to sleeve the psu and prep it for painting in a few weeks but till then I'll sleeve and prep the other tons of parts plus I gotta order some of the painting stuff needed from harborfreight and lowes.

I wouldn't use the Krylon fusion stuff on your case unless you clear coat it with the same brand clear coat. I highly recommend using hvlp spray guns if you can afford it because the quality is so much better than rattle cans and it is easier to use in my opinion. Here is the Paint System that I used and it looks amazing smile.gif I used this stuff on aluminum, steel, plastic and ceramic heatsinks and it looks very consistent and clean. smile.gif I have been super happy with it.
