Putting in a 2600k w/ a Extreme4 Gen3...

Ok so I get the mobo disk drivers loaded & I accidentaly selected all drivers thinking it was going to install just the ones I selected on the drivers section. Instead it starts loaxing all kinds of crap from the software suit.

Anyway I loaded my gfx drivers And then boom, system won't restart. Gives me a blue screen.

Says something like IRQL-NOT LESS THAN OR EQUAL

I am having probs gettin pics off my phone to load on here correctly but I will post it in my profile.

If someone could give me some advice about what to do.... I am about a stones throw from wiping it & starting over...

Ok so what I read is you installed the wrong drivers, then before wiping out those drivers you installed other drivers over those. You need to go in under safe mode and get rid of the drivers. Restart your PC and press F8 for advanced boot options, you can select repair and that fixes problems. Also an easy one is to go under safe mode and do a system restore and that should also be a quick fix.

Thanks guys, I got it sorted. I had to remove the onboard Nvidia drivers. I never load those but like I said, my unfamiliarity lead to an install error... All rectified now.

Ok, so I had it all done. The ati drivers were in & it was booting fine. I think I booted in twice. I ran some tests getting ready to start OCing once I get the good cooler on today...

I shut it down & it started loading windows updates. When I came back it did it again. It was at the restore window saying windows did not start normaly again.

I dumped the whole thing again & reloaded windows clean. I just did a sys image w the fresh install & no drvers installed incase something else goes wrong I can start fresh without reloading windowz again.Anyone else have this issue with the Extr.4 Gen3?

What EXACT drivers are you loading? The only drivers you need with the MOBO are your sound, Internet, Intel Chipset, Done. Your video Card is AMD, So im lost as to what Nvidia Drivers your putting on there. Have you tried not using those Nvidia drivers at all. If the drivers are for your chipset then try to download them off the mobo's main page. Also are you using and Hardware monitor software that came with you MOBO. Those have been known to cause issues.

Im very intrested now in whats wrong, cause thats a very NICE MOBO.

EDIT: I just noticed this happended after Windows Update, which probably reinstalled some drivers causing a conflict. Might have to get an Extreme 4 or Asrock owner in on this one too.

I started by loading the inf drivers. Then I selected load all, by accidentt not unchecking vga & the lucidlogic, & it loaded all the softwware suites & utilities... Which was a disaster, crap fluff & filler programs...

Which exact ones should I load before my gfx drivers?

Thought of one thinig you can try. Unistall all the drivers again (If you can) install the Nvidia ones first reboot,, then install the AMD video drivers. unstall all the software suites untill you get this worked out as well. With my MOBO, I was haveing stability issues, It was coming form the software suite (As soon as I unistalled that, the problem went away)

When I installed my mobo, I just used the Sound driver, Internet, Intel, JMB raid drivers. then I installed my GPU drivers..

And got rid off or never installed
