I use the Claymore and the Phalanx on my Vanguard, Claymore only has 9 shots, but it's 1-shot-1-kill on direct hits against anyone except a Atlas, even fully shielded Centurions/Phantoms. The Phalanx is just there so if I run out of ammo or so that I can help out with Atlases. Granted, you've got the grenades, so you can help with them anyways. Nova is just terrible though... why would I ever want to drain my barrier manually.

I don't have Claymore frown.gif, I only have the Katana and Scimitar. The only time ammo is a problem is the missions where you have to stay on a point and upload or hack, and that is when I would use a ammo pack.
For bronze Nova is good because it can 1 shot a whole group but any higher difficulty you are probably going to die.

Usually the "special/unlockable" guns/equipment that come with these things aren't really that special in-game. You might use some of them for a while, but ultimately the stuff already in the base game will be better. That's how it generally was. Now if they start giving actual amazing or useful bonus items through these, that would be something to complain about. Kind of how the Free to play model works for MMO, except you have to buy the base game and the extra content to get an edge.

Just EA with more monetizing schemes. Expect it to expand.

lol, indeed. I was really looking foreward to buying ME3, but with forced Origin use, 1st day DLC, I might have to take a trip to a certain Swedish bay.

Oh well, screw you EA!
