4.2 to 4.3 Turbo Boost Jump

0.1 is a TURBO BOOST. thumb.gif

I think the only benefit of having "turbo boost" on this cpu is the flashy marketing sticker on the box or in the specs.

They should of just disabled turbo it would of gave the chip much better reputation. I mean clocked at 4.2Ghz stock is more then enough for any OEM machine. They should of took the "we disabled turbo core and clocked this thing up to 4.2Ghz!" approach and they would of avoided all the criticism.

So its the same B2 stepping? I wonder if there have been any tweaks besides clock speed bump? Are there any reviews on this?

Stepping changes take nine months

October -> November -> December (3 months)
January -> February -> March (3 months)
April -> May -> June (3 months)

By then AMD might as well not release B3 at all and just take the B3 design and evolve it into C2 or whatever Vishera's first stepping will be called

Also, this is the first consumer 4+GHz processor in the world...
