Yes. The other thing it does is take money directly out of our pockets and puts it directly into the pockets of the big oil companies. Most of the ethanol (in the USA) is produced by guess who? Farmers? NO. Big oil companies, and they get to collect all of the gov incentives to produce ethanol ,sell the product at exhorbitant rates (it is mandated to be in fuel) and of course they get to sell deisel to the farmers who grow the grain. Win Win Win for Big Oil, Lose Lose Lose for us. It is pure corporate welfare with a "green" sticker on it to make all the brainwashed enviros feel good about handing sacks of OUR cash to the fat cats for a product that overall is less environmentally friendly than just burning gas.

I'v always said the green movement is less about the green in the environment, and more about the green in your wallet.
